Happy Halloween, friends and neighbors!
Oh, how this spooky time of year brings out so many memories and traditions. Three cheers for another holiday that invites food and beverage into its special day. Everyone has his or her favorite Halloween story, tradition or even costume malfunction story to tell. When I think Halloween, the food and drink that comes to mind includes pumpkins, warm spiced cider, candy corn, chocolate, grown-up beverages, and cheese and crackers. Let’s not forget my favorite Halloween tradition of setting up a tailgate in my driveway, slapping on my glitteriest witch’s hat, and turning the bed of my truck into a trick-or-treating family’s dream come true.
This annual event has grown to be quite the neighborhood success. The scene is set, and as it darkens outside, the candles light up and the strobe light draws attention to our tailgate, meant for trick-or-treaters of all ages. Parents drink the wine (cropped out of the photo), and kids have the option of cheese and crackers or candy. Of course, bottled water is also available for all thirsty solicitors. After last year’s success with the cheese and crackers, we may omit the candy altogether this year!
Once again, The Market is here for you. We’ve got a selection of goodies to share with your trick-or-treaters, including an assortment of candy, cheese and crackers from The Charcuterie, beverages for all ages, and a little something for the cook. Our fresh baked goods and seasonal treats will make everyone smile like the silly witch above.
So thanks for popping in, whether it’s stopping by The Market or just checking out our website. We’re pleased to see you again.
Trick or Treat,
